There are Landscapers and then There are Landscapers

It is sort of like being a doctor.  Is your doctor a general practitioner or a skilled surgeon?  Don’t get us wrong, the Houston area needs both.  Just as you would not hire a family doctor to do intricate brain surgery, you would not employ a skilled lawn manicurist to design your property’s landscaping.

To be able to legally refer to yourself as a landscape architect you must have a bachelor’s or even a master’s degree in landscape architecture from a university and be licensed by the state in order to design and work on landscape projects.  It also helps if you have learned from the very best landscape architect…my dad!

Mark Corley and his team at Larid did a fantastic job on our backyard project. We had a large space to work with, and Mark and team designed a beautiful patio with stamped concrete, artificial turf, and a set of new trees and star jasmine on the fence. His quote was reasonable, it laid out each scope of work as its own line item, and was transparent. There were no "surprises" along the way that caused additional billings, which I appreciated. Mark came to the house almost daily when the crews were here, to oversee everything. They finished on time and cleaned everything up nicely. I would highly recommend Laird!

I recently had Trey do a landscape project at my house . He and his crew did an amazing job! He listened what I wanted done and delivered a well-designed and well-executed project. I will definitely use him for any future projects and highly reccomend him and his crew.
